What it is and what it suits
60 pt coaster cover is a thick, uncoated pulpboard made for drink coasters. Because the surface has no coating, it soaks up condensation from a cold glass instead of letting it pool on the table. At about 60 points thick, it is the standard weight for bar and restaurant coasters.

How it prints
Ink sinks into the uncoated board, so colors print with a matte, slightly soft look. Bold logos, solid colors and large type hold up best. Very fine lines and dark, detailed photos print less crisply.
Is 60 pt thick enough for a bar coaster?
Yes. 60 pt is the common thickness for bar coasters because it holds more moisture before it softens. A thinner 40 pt board can work for a single event.
