Eco Friendly Feather Flags with Reusable Poles
Custom feather and teardrop flags for trade shows, outdoor events, grand openings and storefronts, with reusable hardware so only the printed flag is replaced.

Details
Eco Friendly Printer prints custom feather flags and teardrop flags for trade shows, outdoor festivals, farmers markets, sporting events, grand openings, car lots and storefronts. A feather flag is a tall, narrow printed flag on a flexible pole that stays readable when the wind moves it. Flags can be seen from a distance and from the road, which makes them one of the easiest ways to show people where your booth or business is.
Common uses for feather flags
- Trade show and expo booths
- Outdoor festivals, farmers markets and fairs
- Grand openings, sales and seasonal promotions
- Sporting events, races and tournaments
- Real estate open houses and new developments
- Restaurants, car washes and retail storefronts
Shapes and sizes
Feather flags have a tall, curved shape with a straight edge along the pole. The long shape gives plenty of room for a vertical message. Teardrop flags have a rounded shape that holds its form in the wind, which suits logos. Rectangle flags give the most usable print area for text. Flags are commonly made in small, medium and large heights, from about 8 ft to about 15 ft overall including the pole. Tell us where the flag will stand and how far away it needs to be read, and we will recommend a size. Our banner size guide covers booth and banner sizes for trade shows.
Printing and fabric
Flags are printed on polyester flag fabric with dye sublimation, which bonds the ink into the fabric so the color holds up outdoors. A single-sided flag shows a mirror image on the back, and a double-sided flag has a liner between two printed layers so the message reads correctly from both sides. Flags are finished with a pole sleeve and stitched edges. Ask about recycled PET fabric when you request a quote, and we will tell you what is available for the size and shape you need.
Poles and bases
Flags are flown on a flexible pole set into a base. A ground spike works on grass and soil, and a cross base with a water bag works on pavement, floors and trade show carpet. Poles and bases are available on request. If you already own flag hardware, send us the model or measurements and we will print flags to fit it.
How the eco choices apply to flags
Flags are made from fabric rather than PVC vinyl, and the poles and bases can be used for many years. When your message changes, you only need to replace the printed flag. Keeping dates and prices off the flag lets you use the same flag at many events. For other banners that replace PVC vinyl, see biodegradable banners. Our guide to eco friendly signage covers more ways to reduce sign waste.
Design tips
- Use one or two short words, such as "Open" or your brand name, in large type.
- Run text from bottom to top along the pole side so it reads easily.
- Keep text away from the curved edge, where the fabric moves the most.
- Use high-contrast colors that stand out against sky and trees.
How ordering works
Send your artwork, the shape and size, single or double-sided, and whether you need poles and bases. You can start your order online. We will confirm the details and give you a price before anything is printed. Most orders are ready in one to two weeks from artwork approval. For a complete booth, see retractable banners, table covers and step and repeat banners, and our page on printing for events and trade shows.
Common questions about feather flags
What size feather flag should I get?
Medium flags of about 11 to 12 feet overall suit most events and storefronts. Larger flags of about 14 to 15 feet are easier to see from the road. Smaller flags work well indoors and at trade shows with height limits.
What is the difference between single and double-sided flags?
A single-sided flag shows a mirror image on the back. A double-sided flag has two printed layers with a liner between them, so the message reads correctly from both sides.
Can feather flags be used indoors?
Yes. With a cross base, flags can stand on floors and trade show carpet. Check the venue's height limit before you order.
Can I reuse my poles and bases?
Yes. Poles and bases can be used again. When your message changes, order a new printed flag to fit the hardware you already have.
