Eco Friendly Wedding Seating Charts and Welcome Signs
Seating charts, welcome signs, table numbers and bar signs for weddings, printed on recycled paper and plastic-free eco board to match your invitations.

Details
Eco Friendly Printer prints wedding seating charts, welcome signs and other day-of signs on recycled paper and eco board. Eco board is a rigid board made from 100% post-consumer recycled material that is used in place of plastic foam board, so your signs stand up on an easel without adding plastic waste. We can match the colors, fonts and paper to your wedding invitations, so the signs at the venue look like part of the same set.

Seating chart and welcome sign sizes
18 x 24 in and 24 x 36 in are the most common sizes for wedding welcome signs and seating charts. 24 x 36 in is the better choice for a seating chart with more than about 100 guests, because names stay large enough to read. For very large weddings, a 36 x 48 in chart or a chart split across two signs keeps the names readable and reduces crowding at the sign. Table numbers are usually 4 x 6 in or 5 x 7 in, and bar menus are often 8 x 10 in or 11 x 14 in. We also print custom sizes to fit an easel, frame or display you already have.
Materials
Large signs are printed on eco board or recycled foam board, which are stiff enough to stand on an easel. Smaller signs, such as table numbers and bar menus, are printed on heavy recycled cover stock and can stand in a frame or holder. For a softer look, we can print table numbers on cotton paper or plantable seed paper. Signs can be cut to custom shapes, such as arches, and printed on one or both sides.
Planning a seating chart
Seating charts can be organized by table, with each table listing its guests, or alphabetically by last name, with each guest's table number next to the name. Alphabetical charts are faster for guests to read when there are more than a few tables. Send us your final guest list in a spreadsheet so names are spelled correctly, and plan to send it about two weeks before the wedding. Changes are common in the last week, so we will confirm the timing for final edits when you order. If you also need escort cards or place cards, we can print them from the same list.
How the eco choices apply to wedding signs
Most wedding signs are used for one day. Printing on eco board instead of plastic foam board means the signs can go in paper recycling afterward, and a welcome sign without a date can be kept as a keepsake or reused for another family event. Couples who want fewer pieces often combine the welcome sign and seating chart into one display. Our guide to eco friendly wedding invitations covers more ways to plan a lower-waste wedding stationery set.
Indoor and outdoor ceremonies
Eco board and foam board are made for indoor use. For an outdoor ceremony, they work for a few hours in dry weather. Keep the signs out of rain and sprinklers, and set the easel where it will not tip in the wind.
How ordering works
Send your design or the details for each sign, the sizes and your guest list for the seating chart. You can start your order online. We will confirm the materials and give you a price before anything is printed. Most sign orders are ready in one to two weeks from artwork approval. For programs, see wedding programs. Common questions about wedding signs
What size should a wedding seating chart be?
24 x 36 inches is the most common seating chart size. For smaller weddings, 18 x 24 inches works well. For very large weddings, a 36 x 48 inch chart or two signs keep the names readable.
Should a seating chart be alphabetical or by table?
Alphabetical charts are faster for guests to read at larger weddings. Charts by table work well for smaller weddings and give the sign a cleaner look.
Can you match the signs to our invitations?
Yes. Send us your invitation design or files and we will match the fonts, colors and paper as closely as possible.
Do the signs come with easels?
Signs are printed to stand on an easel, and many venues and planners supply easels. If you need one, ask when you request a quote.
When should we send the final seating chart?
Plan to send the final guest list about two weeks before the wedding. We will confirm the latest date for changes when you order.
