Eco Friendly Candle Labels on Recycled and Tree-Free Stock
Custom labels for candle jars, tins and boxes on recycled and tree-free facestocks, with warning labels and adhesives matched to the container.

Details
Eco Friendly Printer prints custom candle labels for candle makers, home goods brands, gift shops and event planners. We print front labels, warning labels and lid labels on recycled and tree-free facestocks with soy-based inks, and we match the adhesive to the container, whether that is a glass jar, a metal tin or a paper box. For candle brands that already use soy or other plant-based wax, a recycled or tree-free label carries the same message onto the package.
Candle labels we print
- Front labels for jar and tumbler candles
- Lid and top labels for tins
- Warning and safety labels for the bottom of the container
- Scent, batch and ingredient labels

- Labels for wedding favors, corporate gifts and events
Sizes and shapes
Candle labels are printed in custom sizes, so measure the flat area of the container where the label will sit. For a straight-sided jar, measure the height of the flat area and the distance around the jar. For a tapered tumbler, a straight rectangle may wrinkle, so tell us the shape and we will advise on the label size. Common front label sizes are 2 x 3 in, 2.5 x 2.5 in and 3 x 3 in, and round labels of 2 to 3 in fit most tin lids. Labels can be die-cut to any shape. Our sticker and label size guide explains how to measure a container.
Facestocks and adhesives
We print on recycled facestocks and on tree-free facestocks, which are made without wood pulp. Matte and uncoated papers give a natural look that suits handmade and small-batch candles. For labels that will be handled often or near water, such as on bath and spa products, we can recommend a more durable facestock. The adhesive is chosen for the container. Glass, metal and paper each need a different adhesive, and candles that are stored in warm places need an adhesive that holds up to heat. Keep labels away from the top of the jar, where the glass gets hottest when the candle is lit.
Warning labels
Many candle makers add a warning label to the bottom of each container with burning instructions and safety information. We print the text you approve, so check the wording you need before you send final files. A warning label can be printed in one color on a small round or rectangular label to keep costs low.
How the eco choices apply to candle labels
A label can affect whether a container is recycled or reused. Many customers wash and reuse candle jars, and a label with the right adhesive peels off more cleanly. Recycled and tree-free facestocks with soy-based inks lower the impact of the label itself. Our article on what makes a product label sustainable covers each of these choices.
How ordering works
Send your artwork, the label size, the quantity and a description of the container, or send us a sample. You can start your order online. We will confirm the facestock, the adhesive and a price before anything is printed. Most label orders are ready in one to two weeks from artwork approval. Labels are available on rolls or sheets. For more label types, see labels. For the rest of the package, see hang tags, box sleeves and tissue paper.
