Eco Friendly Graduation Announcements on Recycled Paper

Eco Friendly Printer prints graduation announcements and graduation party invitations for high school, college and graduate school graduates. We print on recycled and cotton paper with soy-based inks, and we can add photos, school colors, foil and matching envelopes. Families, schools and parent groups order them every spring.

Announcements and invitations

An announcement shares the news that someone has graduated, and it is often sent to relatives and family friends who will not attend the ceremony. An invitation asks guests to a party or open house, so it needs the date, time, address and how to RSVP. Many families combine the two on one card, with the announcement on the front and the party details on the back or on a small insert card.

Sizes

The most common size is a 5 x 7 in flat card, which fits an A7 envelope. 4 x 6 in cards cost less to print and mail, and 5.25 x 5.25 in square cards stand out but need extra postage. Our invitation size guide and envelope size guide list the matching envelope for each card.

Paper and finishes

For photo announcements, a smooth recycled cover stock such as Astrolite PC 100 prints photos with good detail. For a more traditional card with text and a school crest, uncoated recycled stocks and cotton paper take foil and letterpress well. School colors can be printed in full color, and Greg can tell you which stock gets closest to them.

When to order and mail

Most graduations take place in May and June, and spring is a busy time for printers, so it helps to start in March or April. Party invitations are usually mailed three to four weeks before the party. Announcements can be mailed shortly before or after the graduation date. Most orders take one to two weeks from proof approval, plus time for mailing.

He will help you choose the size and paper, check that your photos are large enough to print well, and send a proof so you can check names, dates and spelling before anything is printed.
